Tidewater Veterinary is a full service, independently owned, integrative veterinary practice located in the heart of Mount Pleasant, and convenient for both Isle of Palms and Sullivan’s Island. At our hospital, we are focused on keeping your pet healthy and preventing disease when we can, treating them promptly, and keeping them comfortable and happy.
Our goal is to use the least invasive and most effective treatments to bring your cat or dog to his or her optimal health. As your Mt Pleasant vet, we will give you more options, such as laser therapy for pain management in addition to diet, exercise, and various medications. Our practice was founded by Dr. Cara Daniel, DVM, CVA and with her passing, we will honor the way she took care of your furry family members. I am beyond thankful for Tidewater Veterinary. For a few years, after a difficult vet appointment (at a different vet office, in a different state), my cat Mr. Whiskers suffered from high anxiety around vets/vet techs. Well, by miracle, he had an amazing & calm appointment at Tidewater the other day!!! He’s now had a necessary tooth extraction, dental cleaning, all shots, xrays, and more! So grateful for the kindness and expertise of the staff!!!
I went to another vet clinic for 20 years and received great care for my fur babies. I always loved seeing Dr. Camilla Malark and Shannon. They both ended up at Tidewater in Mt. Pleasant. I followed! The entire staff is just amazing but I have “history” with these two… they know my particular brand of “crazy dog mom” . I highly recommend Tidewater. Great standard of care for all clients and fur babies! Shannon solves my problems even if it takes a call from Canada to do so!! Girl, you are the best!
This is undoubtedly the best Veterinarian office I’ve ever used. Everyone of the staff are caring and compassionate. They will bend over backwards to help you with knowledgeable and caring service. 5 stars are not enough. Kudos to all of the staff and doctors
Dr. Carmela Malark and Shannon Park are the best! I love when my dogs see them. It’s a nice feeling to know that your dogs are getting the best of care by being seen at Tidewater Veterinary Clinic.
We have 3 dogs & love the care they all receive at Tidewater Veterinary. The staff is always friendly and so wonderful with my dogs which helps them enjoy their visit much more. We have been coming here for many years and always get the same great care. I highly recommend Tidewater Veterinary!

Just took my newly adopted rescue pup to tidewater. Nothing short of excellent service! The veterinarian and nurses/vet technicians were amazing! So sweet and so helpful. Pricing is also great. I was able to get my heartworm and prevention there for my pup as well. Highly recommend!
The staff are so kind and amazing. The docs are awesome. They make sure to give all the facts. They don’t try to add on unneeded services to make an extra buck. They definitely treat your four-legged family member like their own family!
